1923 - 1944
John Casey Senior founded the firm. John was the brother of Famous Criminal Advocate Dan Casey. The office was situated in Commonwealth Bank Chambers, Brisbane Street, IPSWICH.
1945 – 1976
The firm evolved through a number of partnerships throughout the next 30 years including Casey & Williams (1945-1953), Casey & Casey (1954-1961), Casey, Casey & Kent (1961 - 1971), Casey McNamara & Campbell when Maurice Joseph McNamara joined the firm along with Frank Campbell to practice out of Bank of NSW Building, West City Building, 213 Brisbane Street, IPSWICH.
1977
Frank Campbell left the firm and started his own practice. Maurice McNamara traded under his own name. The Gatton office was opened and Maurice McNamara's son joined the firm to manage the Gatton office.
1983
MJ McNamara and Associates was formed.
1983 – 1986
Greg Ploetz joined the firm to form McNamara, Ploetz & Associates. The firm moved to Wharf Street Ipswich. Greg stayed with the firm until 1986 when he opened his own business in West Ipswich and went on to purchase MA Kent and Associates where he remains to this day.
1986
McNamara & Associates was formed in 1986 between Maurice McNamara & Kerian McNamara.

Kevin Steed (Maurice Son in law) admitted as a solicitor.

Peter Wilkinson joined McNamara and Associates as an articled clerk.

1996
McNamara & Associates - Kevin Steed became a partner and Maurice McNamara retired leaving his interest in the business to Kerian McNamara (son) and Kevin Steed (son-in-law) but remained as a consultant. Peter Wilkinson admitted as a Solicitor.
1996 – 1998
McNamara & Associates take over a law firm in BEERWAH.
2001
Peter Wilkinson became a partner of the firm, and the firm buys the North Ipswich Pizza Hut premises and then soon after re-opens Wharf Street office, IPSWICH. Jeremy Bruce starts with the firm.

McNamara & Associates opens a new office in Toowoomba.
2004
McNamara & Associates takeover law firm Bell & Braban, Gatton.
2007
Jeremy Bruce buys into McNamara & Associates. A new office is opened at Orion Shopping Centre, Springfield. McNamara & Associates moves to new premises in Gatton.
2014
Kerian McNamara retires from McNamara & Associates as a partner of the firm but was retained as a consultant until 2016.
2017
McNamara & Associates moves to new premises @Pump Yard Precinct - 88 Limestone Street, IPSWICH (old Bremer Tafe Building).

2018
Kevin Steed becomes a consultant. Peter Wilkinson and Jeremy Bruce purchase the remaining interest in the business.
2019
McNamara & Associates has an official name change to McNamara Law.
2023
McNamara Law celebrates 100 Years
100 years
25th August 2023
On August 25th 2023, in her 20th year at the firm, Rebekah Gaye Sanfuentes was announced as the newest Director of McNamara Law. This was publicly celebrated at the 100th Anniversary Party the next day with 150 guests, family and friends.
